Information Letter for KOLAS

DEAR CUSTOMERS; WE WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOU REGARDING THE LAW ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA FOR PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITHIN THE SCOPE OF EASY ADDRESSING SYSTEM:

Easy Addressing System (“KOLAS”) is a service related to the system managed by Interbank Card Center (“BKM”) and based on the principle of QNB Finansbank A.S (“QNB Finansbank”) customers match their account numbers (IBAN) and other Account Information with an address that can be remembered easily (Easy Address: phone number, e-mail address, TR ID Number (TCKN), Tax ID Number (VKN), Foreign ID Number, Passport Number) and use these addresses instead of the account number in fund transfers. QNB Finansbank may not add and update your Easy Address information on Easy Addressing System and perform inquiry on behalf of you without your request as per the relevant guidance.

All kinds of information belonging to you that enables to determine and ascertain your identity is qualified as Personal data under the provisions of Personal Data Protection Law with no.6698 ("KVKK"). Your Easy Address information that is qualified as Personal Data and obtained physically and/or electronically and the account information matched with this information will be processed by QNB Finansbank under the title of Data Supervisor in order for the payment transactions including fund deposit, transfer or withdrawal activities that you will send with an order to be carried out as subject to express content specific to this topic in QNB Finansbank and this information can be transferred to BKM and other banks that are the system participants, person/entity and/or institutions which Banking Law no.5411 and other Law and legislation provisions require/allow and to financial institutions and other 3rd parties listed in the 4th paragraph of 73th article of Banking Law no.5411 and other 3rd parties, public corporations authorized for obtaining personal data such as BRSA, CMB, CBRT, RA, SSI, MASAK, CREDIT BUREAU, FINDEKS and the principal shareholder of QNB Finansbank within legal boundaries.

If you delete or change your Easy Address information, close the account associated with Easy Address or if you are no longer a customer of QNB Finansbank, you will be informed by QNB Finansbank and it will delete your record from Easy Addressing System.

By applying to QNB Finansbank, you shall have the right to I) to be informed whether your personal data is processed or not, II) request information as to processing if it is processed, III) learn the purpose of processing of the personal data and whether data are used in accordance with their purpose or not IV) know the third parties in the country or abroad to whom personal data have been transferred; V) request rectification in case personal data are processed incompletely or inaccurately  VI) request deletion or destruction of personal data within the framework of the conditions set forth under 7th article of KVKK, VII) request notification of the operations made as per indents (d) and (e) to third parties to whom personal data have been transferred VIII) objecting to occurrence of any  result coming out against itself due to the analysis of the Personal Data exclusively with the automatic systems,  IX) request compensation for the damages in case the person incurs damages due to unlawful processing of personal data.

Under the rights described under 11th article of relevant Law, you, as the Data Owner/Data Subject, may send requests

  • by using Application Form which can be obtained from the branches of the Bank or by providing a letter along with documents proving identity (identity card, driving license, passport, etc.) by personal application
  • by means of secure electronic signature, mobile signature or registered electronic mail address which is available in the systems of the Bank

With regard to requests,

  • Personal Data Owner/Data Subject’s name, surname and signature, if the requests is made in written,
  • TR ID number if the applicant is citizen of Turkey Republic; citizenship of the applicant if a foreigner; passport number or ID number if available,
  • Domicile or workplace address to send notifications,
  • Electronic mail address, telephone and facsimile to send notifications,
  • The subject of the request

must be stated; and related information and documents must be enclosed to the request. These applications shall be accepted after your identity is confirmed by QNB Finansbank and you shall be informed in written or via electronic media within the legal durations.

In written application, the submission date of the document to QNB Finansbank is deemed as the application date.

In the event that the applications are submitted by other methods, the date of receipt by QNB Finansbank shall be deemed as the application date.
